CHUMM, The Home of Indigenous Art

Mariia Osipova, lead of CHUMM, The Home of Indigenous Art, was one of the 2023 inaugural recipients of the UArctic Entrepreneurship Fund.

“We are excited to announce our inaugural Entrepreneurship Fund winners. Each winning submission has a unique and direct plan for a positive impact on the Arctic,” Michael Carey said. Carey is the Managing Partner, COO of Canard Group, LLC, and supporter of the fund.

The goal of CHUMM is to form an online showcase and marketplace for Indigenous artists, creating opportunities to demonstrate a unique and authentic collection of artwork while providing economic opportunities, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting sustainable practices. $5000 was provided to Osipova through the UArctic Entrepreneurship Fund to pursue this work.
